Traditionally grown in Turkey and Syria, Aleppo peppers are spicy with flavors of sun-dried tomato and a hint of cumin. An excellent variety for Middle Eastern cuisine; try adding to hummus or mixing with ground lamb for zesty meatballs. An interesting and unique finishing pepper that can be used anywhere you'd reach for ordinary "crushed red pepper flakes".
